| | Having read David Kelley's Truth and Toleration, I had high expectations for this work. I was quite disappointed with it.
While T&T appeared to draw from many sources on the subject of toleration, UI simply drew from Rand and others. I naturally wondered if David Kelley was afraid of whom he would "offend" if he had cited other sources on the subject of toleration.
I also felt that the book left out some important components of benevolence. The book makes no mention of forgiveness or gratitude. Forgiveness is the acknowledgement that a person has made an honest error. Gratitude is an act of reflection toward the benevolence of others.
