Umm, you do realise the '50 years' article was a joke article, don't you?

I am sorry, as it seems have been gone on an april fool's day link ;)

I apologize for getting this too late (so much for third party links...). But well, I will sort through a list of other links and present a different snapshot on Mr. Bush..

So, let's just think about this from 2003, October:
"Iraq is a free of a brutal dictator. Iraq is free of the man who caused there to be mass graves. Iraq is free of rape rooms and torture chambers. Iraq is free of a brutal thug."

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2003/10/20031008-9.html

and then this here, early 2004:

"And one thing is for certain; there won't be any more mass graves and torture rooms and rape rooms"

http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2004/01/20040112-7.html

It just shows how bad the grip on liberty in the US really is. And the consequences of this "escapade" are still to be seen. (except some minor "justice" against selected mistreatments) And it also shows that he is either a president of lies or a president of blunder, both is something that should not to be seen in the world strongest country.

It's not my way to critize the US mostly for the Iraq War, but rather for the way it presented its reasoning for the war. This president is certainly someone who is struggling with the words truth and honesty, albeit he might have unintentionally done the right thing, or caused the right things to happen.

Max,

Sigh. You have no clue what the reasons for the war actually were. The fact that you are calling the results "unintentional" proves this. I suggest you go back and read the actual documents put forth by the Bush Administration when making the case for war. I further suggest you go back and read the first post-911 State of the Union address as well as Bush's graduation address to West Point. Read what the Bush Doctrine actually is, not what some lefty German rag is reporting. It's actual goal is exactly what is happening right now.

WMD was only one of many reasons for war, and was deep on the list. The fact that it was trumped up was obviously a mistake--but its existence was not questioned by anyone in the world.

Alec
