| | Robert, forgive me, but I do assume you mean The Man who Listens to Horses by Monty Roberts. Monty Roberts is the real life person around whom the fictional story The Horse Whisperer was based. I wouldn't want someone mistakenly to pick up the fictional story based on my recommendation of Monty Robert's own non-fiction accounts. I do agree that Grandin's work is the better, but both are groundbreaking and terrific reads. Watching Monty Roberts work, "breaking" (he calls it gentling) the most untamable wild and abused horses in just a few minutes is absolutely breathtaking.
I was wondering who voted for Animals in Translation.
