Just a general question for the General Forum:

Has anyone else here had a problem with the RoR site running very, very slowly the last week or so?

I have definitely noticed it myself.

Yep.  Been driving me nuts, too.

Sometimes the site won't even come up.

Same results here. It must either be the server where ROR is running or else it is some serious network problem at or near the server site.

It looks to be a hardware problem with the server.  They're working on it.

Oh ... crap (it's a server problem and they're working on it).

I mean, I had it in my head that there was a domestic spying going on and that that included detection of buzzwords like NeoCon, Leo Strauss, Machiavelli, Big Government, etc.

[Did you ever notice how Fox News covers things like "lies, sex scandals, other scandals, or missing children" at precisely those times when we hear that government is getting bigger or badder, almost as sort of a distraction or opium of the masses?]

Anyway, I had it in my mind that, because I rail and rail and rail about our current Fascist direction (secret police for homeland spying, command economy from enlarged Federal Reserve, etc.), that maybe "the government" was getting scared of me. After all, here's this "loose cannon" writing on a online forum with membership in the thousands. Even his own peers can't seem to calm him down. And, gentlemen, the really-troubling thing about all of this guy's ranting and ravings is that ... basically ... he's right about us (the NeoCons).

[Did you ever notice how there are no pictures of George Lincoln Rockwell and either Prescott, GHW, or GW in the SAME ROOM at the SAME TIME??!!]

So, with this probability in mind -- the probability that I scare the hell out of the government -- and, with this newly-found slow-down in RoR "service," I just had to take the next step down this train of thought and think that the government had dubbed me "obstinate" or "non-Government friendly" or something of the sort and proceeded to track and record my every key-stroke (which would explain the slower loading times, etc).

Boy-oh-boy, can you imagine how glad I had become upon being made aware of the fact that all of this has actually turned out to be such an innocent thing as a simple server problem??

;-)

I like to view myself as an origin of causation. Surely, you can't fault a guy for that!

Perhaps I've been overly-grandiose in this respect -- though I'm pretty sure that I would've already been aware of that, had that turned out to be the present case.
