| | From what I've read about this bill, it will make no new information available. The spending habits of Congress are already documented and publically available. All this will do is require some government service to make a database of it, which should make the information easier to obtain and analyze, but also easier to hide information, if one was so inclined. I think what is really surprising with all the enthusiasm on the Internet to have this bill passed, is that no one with the skills to do it proposed to make the database on their own. I guess nobody cares that much. Instead of the public holding the government accountable we have the public asking the government to hold the government accountable.
