Maybe they should force surgeons to perform with one hand behind their backs -- as that should cut down on their abilities enough to "save" some more nationalized money ...

Ah, the realities of rationed services. Unfortunately, proponents of government health care will simply say the problem is insufficient resources, "the rich" simply need to be taxed more to make up the shortfalls.
