I agree, Ed.  I was very moved by that entire post.  That whole thread was a huge learning experience for me.

That quote summarizes quite well how I feel about being a parent.  It describes the attitude that I try to exhibit in my daily life to my coworkers and friends, as well.

Thanks Deanna,

I enjoyed writing it, and am happy you all appreciated it. I have no children of my own, but do have the fondest memories of my own childhood. So few bad experiences from my parents I could count them on one hand, without the thumb. Best wishes for your son. The pic in my profile is my nephew, Alexander Cornelius McNally, born 05/15/05. My sister married my best friend from Highschool, my Bro-in-Law's an objectivist too.
