Of course, this wise quote is not to be taken as a prescription for perpetual motion! After all, humans do require some leisure (ie. down-time or play) in order to be happy in their lives. Leisure is a necessary ingredient for human happiness. But the quote brings a key point to focus:

Your time is your life.

Ed!  I'm flattered!  I'm blushing!  ;-)

The real credit belongs to Benjamin Franklin who said:

"Dost thou love life? Then do not squander time, for that is the stuff life is made of."

Luke,

You can either be the candle casting the light unto the world, or the mirror that reflects that light around -- either way, you're one of the good guys. It just so happens that with timeless truths such as these, there's little that is new under the sun -- so most of the attainable wisdom has already been spoken of (by "someone" throughout the ages).

But you should be proud to be such a mirror -- though crediting the ancients is not detrimental -- and realize that it is folks like you who've been passed the torch of understanding.
