I think the original quotation was:"I swear upon the altar of God eternal hostility to every form of tyranny over the mind of man.", but it's certainly possible that this theme coame up more than once :-). Thanks for the quote Mario!!

Jim, it's "I have sworn..". It appears in words of fire in a circular ring high up around the inside rotunda in the Jefferson Memorial.

Yes, I remembered it wrong. I saw the actual words on the Jefferson Memorial when I was in Washington for a week in high school.
