| | Norquist's point is that Coke is a respected brand name. One doesn't buy Coca Cola wondering what one will get. Likewise, one doesn't vote Republican expecting to have GHWB or Bloomberg or the like turn around and raise taxes. That sort of Republican is like a Coke bottle you buy without thought, only to take it home and find a rat's head in it. They are bad enough to turn you off on the entire brand name.
Perhaps cyanide in Tylenol would have been a more apt analogy?
