| One of the most repulsive legal innovations of Nazi Germany was a law to compel the citizen to spy on his neighbors for the Gestapo. In Communist East Germany the practice was continued by the STASI, the Gestapo's Communist successor. It went down with the Wall, but is now being revived in a new law proposed in the US Congress. | ||
