Mortal Glory
by Matthew Graybosch

Let me worship you, my love
Kisses for a sacrament
Loving desire an offering
But never a sacrifice.

I will kneel before you, my
surrender unreserved.
I will serve your desire and
your delight will serve my own.

Inspire me to song with your
hands upon me, your lips upon mine
Reveal the way to paradise
your clothes fall as storm-borne leaves.

Let our bed be a temple
holier than flesh-fearing gods.
Let our cries drown the song of
angels ignorant of love.

I find sanctuary in your
arms and know mortal glory there.
