My day job is in finance but I have a passion for philosophy. While sympathetic to the Aristotelian tradition, I still enjoy reading the other failed attempts. I firmly believe that philosophers should be public intellectuals and stay engaged in real life pursuits. Philosophy is not something that needs to be completed then handed down to the great unwashed. Yes, it can be refined, fine tuned and eloquently expressed but the essence can be understood, appreciated and practiced by everyone. Philosophy is about life and it's everybody’s business.
