Between hurricanes, Kant, and the anniversary of 9/11 I was in a terrible mood. This 9/11 turned out to be a beautiful day and more in keeping with my spirit I went outside to draw landscapes. I'm in the midst of finishing my M.S. thesis and looking at your landscape took me completely out of the stress and toil. It makes me think of standing on the lakeshore barefoot when I was eight, with the water lapping my toes, glad to be alive in such a beautiful place.
