I am very intrigued by this. I'm thinking of organization in a different way.

Further thoughts: I listened to the "Principles of Grammar" by Leonard Peikoff a few decades ago, and found it very valuable. If a philosophy is any good, it applies to your daily activities, and helps structure how you express yourself. Looking at Objectivism in this light helps to keep one "grounded".

I liked this articled - it inspired me to bring order to my higgledy-piggledy Inbox.

I've created a custom field called "reason", which would be similar Luther's "Purpose", but I don't know how to populate this. Does anyone know how this works? Do you set up a custom list for custom fields, or enter as you go?

What you need to do is to change "Subject" to "Reason (Knowledge)" or "Task" to "Reason (Intermediate Steps)" in your Inbox or Tasks window, respectively.  I employ unused fields like "Company" and "Mileage" for "Purpose (Goal)" and "Self-Esteem (Value)".  You will need to use the Field Chooser and other embellishments to get the windows to appear as the graphics in the article.

Intriguing article, but I can't let the impression that boring Wintel boxes are the epitomy of sense of life computing stand without challenge. Give me a Macintosh any day! :)

This article just popped up on random.

Luke finished with:
This control grants you the ability to raise your self-esteem and personal productivity and leads to a greater sense of inner peace.
LOL.

Oneness of being from Microsoft.

Thank you for this particular OutLuke, Luke.

Maybe you can offer this article to Bill Gates to get your foot in the door to propose a 30' philosophical endorsement ad campaign. He pays well.

"purr alert"

(OutLuke pun from Kat - who is unbeatable at this kind of thing.)
purrrrrrrrrrr
