Awesome, Kyle!

But please tell me what "Nova Era" means, the suspense is already killing me!

:-)

Please don't make it out like Rand's question "Who is John Galt?" (where many, many people got exposed to it long before they ever developed an understanding of what it actually means).

It sounds like "sun time" to me, or something like that. Is that close?

Ed

Teresa,

What was it that broke the link? Was it the "dash" in the title?

Ed,

I'll answer you in a bit.

Nova Era = New Age?  A new beginning?

Nova = A star showing a sudden large increase in brightness and then slowly returning to its original state over a few months.  Representative of the farmer's sudden intense casting off his chains and his determination to maintain that state?

http://www.novaeramusic.com/video_gallery/about_us.html  A band that combines performance art with an updated version of classical music successfully mixing the old and the new thereby bringing classical music to the modern masses.

Deanna,

"Nova Era = New Age? A new beginning?"

Ding, ding, ding!!! I was going for "New Era". A new era for the producer. Notice the time lapse in the story, it begins in one era, and ends at the beginning of a new era.

Also, I often listen to music when writing these parables. The song I listened to most while writing this parable is:

"Nova era" not only fit well with one of the themes of the story, I also added it as a tribute to the song I listened to the most while writing it.

Have to go right now, I'll add more when I get back.

-----------------------------------------------------

Ed,

"Aw, mannnnnnn. You're killin' me over here ..."

Aren't I a tease?

I can see how you got "sun time" out of "nova era". And you were halfway there (kind of) in your translation.

Glad you folks liked it. I like this parable more than my last. I think I organized this one a bit better and I spread the action a little more evenly.

Also, I did a better job of proof-reading and polishing this parable.

I dedicated more time to this one. I think it made the difference.

Kyle,

Nah, there's script in the site that hates certain non-alphabetic characters, like - and ;.  I always forget to edit titles with characters that the script can't stand until someone alerts me to " HEY! I CANT SEE ANYTHING!!"

Ooops, my bad.
