| | Procrustes' Bed
The right to life is the right of each individual to live his own life. All human life is individual, and all the errors of politics and ethics follow from failing to keep the essential individuality of life in full focus. Even Objectivist doctrine sometimes speaks of the "life proper to man." Beware! This is an abstraction. There is no one-size-fits-all life. In the end, only Procrustes fit his own bed.
Each person must live the life proper to himself.
Neither faith, nor the state, nor being able to quote Rand will substitute for finding your own path.
