LeRoi Moore from Dave Matthews Band Died

LeRoi Moore, the saxophonist for the Dave Matthews Band, died of complications from an ATV accident. My first reaction was, oh well, I guess Dave is the songwriter, so they'll just replace LeRoi. Then I remembered the song Proudest Monkey off the Crash album and I started crying. If you haven't heard it, go buy... (Read the entire blog entry)

I saw them about four years ago in Columbus, Ohio. It was $60 and even sprinkled a little. It was the only concert I walked out of thinking: "Let's do it again sometime." I found out why people love the Dave Matthews Band--it's more than just Dave.

I saw them twice in Roanoke, VA.  Their concerts were really enjoyable events; the ones I went to seemed to be mostly attended by nice college students (my husband and I being some of the oldest people there!).  I'm not a "people" person and don't enjoy being in a crowd, but at these concerts I remember feeling really connected to the other people, all getting "into" the same songs, singing along.
