Your experience reminds me, and not happily, of the many equally or more revolting papers and texts I had to read as a philosophy major at UCLA.
Progressives have so thoroughly polluted the educational system in this country it is sometimes hard to see how it can ever be righted. And, yet, if it isn't, the country will inevitably complete its downward slide to becoming Sweden or worse.
The one bright spot I see is the explosion of information and sources available on the Internet. It makes it nearly impossible for the Left to entirely dominate the conversation. No wonder Sunstein is so interested in regulating it.
