Well, here it is. It took a lot of effort, but the site is finally ready to start.

What do you think of the new website? Things you like? Things you like even more?

It's brilliant.

Easily navigable, slick design work on the graphics and a quality colour scheme. Only a bunch of objectivist perfectionists could have put together something so impressive!

I haven't had much of a chance to explore the content admittedly, having searched through about .001% of it. It's big with lots of features and I can't wait to immerse myself in its magnificence.

Solo's now got a site worthy of its potential.

Thankyou.

I'm on my lunch break at work so I don't have time to really dig into the content, but I love the design; it's very clean and elegant. Good work.

PS: Manually remove the "ANTISPAM" from my email address to contact me. Sorry to be a pain.

To those who were involved in
putting this site together - A huge
Thank You.

I haven't yet had time to explore
fully all that's on offer, but what
I've seen so far is fantastic.

And in keeping with exactly what
you would expect from a SOLO
Website, the esthetics are absolutely
breathtaking. In both style and content,
you guys have created a magnificent
work of art. So much so, that I'm going
to make it my Home Page!

Best regards,
Chris

Thanks for the compliments. This is the third site that I've designed (Importance of Philosophy, My campaign site, & this), and as I get more proficient at Photoshop and HTML the results seem to get better.

Though I'm not sure if it's a work of art... What aspect of reality is this recreating? Though I suppose if architecture can be considered art then a website can qualify, too.

Stunning! This site looks (and is) professional, and is clearly bristling with fascinating content. To all those involved, well done, and Thank-you.

Sean.

The new website is a huge thrill - congratulations to its creators. The feeling of viewing this site is akin only to that of being at the SOLO conference itself earlier in the year!

What a wonderful leap forward for SOLO.

Cameron Pritchard

Thanks for the positive feedback guys. The site hasn't been "beta-tested" much, so if you see any problems, please send one of us an email. Also, if you have any suggestions. I'm very excited about this new site.

To Lindsay for the concept (I presume) and to all involved in putting this magnificent site together, I thank you and I salute you.

The launch of the site reminded me of an article in The Free Radical, issue 41, by Larry Sechrest – “Nautical Paradox”……. “And does not New Zealand stand at the top of the heap in the yachting world? Don’t New Zealanders deserve to pat themselves on the back?…….. No and no. First of all, it is only the few men directly involved with the winning syndicate who deserve to be (highly) praised……… Don’t get me wrong. In one sense it was wonderful to see tens of thousands celebrating the triumph of black Magic……”

So it is with this site; but the site can do for objectivists and for budding objectivists, the same as those yacht designers and sailors did for New Zealanders. The launch of this site has made my day, possibly my year, and hopefully a big difference to the rest of my life.

A huge THANKS!

The site is impressive - but on a note of practicality, I find the forum structure way too restrictive as to topics/categories - which may explain why there are so few posts.

I believe if this site is rigorously promoted throughout the whole of the web, I believe many new people will find their way to Objectivism. Not only is there great content, there is a style in which is presented that matches it.

I fully encourage anyone interested in promoting this site. The audience is growing, but I think we have a lot of room to grow, even in the Objectivist movement.

Any thoughts on how to promote it?

Pay for ad space on major sites, (Yahoo etc.) and make the ad very intriguing and mysterious so that it would evoke curiosity like these examples.

Discover what reality is really like.

Solo HQ, your portal to reality and life.

Ever been in a real War Room? You should see ours.

Lost your spirit, we'll help you find it.

Attention! Looking for a few good minds.

I think these would work well on billboards too. That's the best idea I can think of at this time.

I loved that initial statement at the main page! That is the kind of objectivism I've been dying to read about....a rational, compassionate, understanding objectivism that seeks to teach, to enhance and to respect the individual in all of us...not the objectivism that points a stern finger and seeks to punish verbally all those who do not tow the line.....Ayn Rand was indeed a brilliant woman with an incredible notion to share..but her methods were very alienating and far to militant to be enjoyable....

I'm also glad to see a place where sharing is paramount instead of a way of having a hand out for support to spread the gospel of objectivism...

Thank you for this site!

I thought the old board was very slow loading, and hard to navigate. This one is a little better because it loads faster, but I think the layout could be designed so that it is easier to understand and move around in. Still, good try!
