Has anybody noticed that "certain people" insist on (rather than confronting others directly), starting fraudulent threads which cast aspersions at WHOLE GROUPS?
I honestly didn't know there was an "age limit" on the forum. Nor did I know that the amount of posts on a given thread was a "zero-sum game", in that whenever somebody posted, it "deprived" somebody else of the ability to post. Mistakenly, I thought that anybody could post anywhere they wanted to. My bad, eh?
(See, Mr. Hibbert: we can both play the "fraudulent thread" game. Do you want to reconsider your 'strategy', or do we need to pursue this pathetic mess?)

Actually, I don't really mind if people create a new thread to moan in, I don't see that it matters much. The consequences are that it might seem that that person is somehow trying to avoid confrontation, but if they are, so what?

As long as they do it honestly, its fine by me.

Vertigo:
There was absolutely NOTHING 'honest" about what Mr. Hibbert (Sam Erica), did.

First, he didn't come right out and tell us all exactly WHO he was complaining about, but resorted instead fo the sort of catty inuendo that you'd expect from bored housewives, at a hair salon. Sorry, but I have absolutely no respect for somebody who's going to put their thoughts forward in the form of 'gossip'.

Secondly, if Mr. Hibbert has a problem with a particular person or persons, he should be MAN enough to just come forward, and state his case, instead of talking about "four or five posters", etc. If honesty is a virtue for Objectivists, then this "pussyfooting around" tactic is pretty pitiful. Not to mention that he makes totally unfounded claims, with absolutely no basis to back them up.

Third, his premise seems to be that just because a few of us are more active on the boards, that this somehow 'deprives" others of the ability to post. That is (as you should already know) complete nonsense: anybody who wants to post, CAN. There's no 'quotas' on this board, nor should there be. The idea that some of us shouldn't post "so often" -- should keep ourselves down to the level of MEDIOCRE PARTICIPATION claimed as the "norm"....how can I NOT be offended by this?

Until (and unless) Mr. Hibbert is willing to actually name names (rather than casting his complaint in terms of a "generation gap" or osmething), he is (in my book) being extremely cowardly, in this regard.
