I was very happy to see the pictures Fran (I don't know her last name) took of the summer conference. You really can get a sense of whether you would enjoy the TOC summer conference by looking at these telling, well-done, and very candid pictures:

http://www.flickr.com/photos/99336865@N00/

(I looked at the two of me for a long time and was baffled ... and then I realized I had just been dancing my ass off, was covered in sweat, punchy, but with and exhausted but slightly silly (well maybe not so slightly) slaphappy look on my face.... which is why I look like a heroin addict.)

Thanks, Fran for these great pictures!!!

Pictures are worth thousands of words.

And you can quote me, if you spell my name right....

Well, it looks like everyone had a fabulous time! (No Phil, you're not chopped liver! I would have danced all night with you ;)

Who the heck is "Christopher??"  There must be a dozen pictures of him (getting hugged by the babes, kissed by the babes, holding a beer, looking exhausted, etc. etc.) The guy was everywhere!

Some serious ribbing is in order for this guy. If I only knew who he was.

Christopher Robinson is one of the three Objectivist Professors of Psychology at this conference. One of two from the Deep South. Who do you think looks more scholarly and dignified, Christopher or Rober Campbell?

......Hmmmmm?

The third is Jay Friedenberg who has just published a textbook in Cognitive Psychology. He however is not a prof in the Deep South,

.....but in New Yaawk City

No shit?!

Who do you think looks more scholarly and dignified, Christopher or Rober Campbell?

They both kinda look like "bleacher creatures" going to a Tiger Game after a hard day at the plant.

They both look like they can fix a flat in 10 minutes, know where the best pizza place is, or never forget a name.

Yes, Scott is wise in the ways of the force.

I'm the Joe in the photos - the very tired Joe who averaged three hours of sleep per night all week. But I danced, and that's all that matters in the end.

Joe, yes it is all that matters in the end.

But if I didn't *see* you dancing, it doesn't really count. :-)

So that's why you looked so wasted! I thought it was all that booze you were drinking! ;-) Just joking, of course. I didn't see Joe down one drink. In fact, he looked like a fine, upstanding young man -- when he was standing up, that is!

Hey, with all respect, Joe, I thought you were a pretty poised and knowledgeable speaker! You and Robert Campbell made a great team.
