Ayn Rand.

I'm only an amateur philosopher.

The only other Ossifer I know is the Police Ossifer who pulls me over when I've had too much to drink.

Looks like Avagadro's number, but what is the significance of the cube root of it?

Avogadro's number is now defined against the mass of the Standard Kilogram which is a cylinder of Platinum kept in France. There has been a recent move to redefine the number as an integer constant. This cube root falls within the current estimated range of Avogadro's number, and thus that number could be defined as the number of atoms in a cube of any substance with that number of atoms as the edge of the cube. It is elegant and easy to remember. See americanscientist.org
