Thanks for the review. I just finished watching it on DVD. My wife and I loved it. Yes, the donkey was a bit much, even for KS, but well within his bounds.
Although it lacked a little bit of that authentic feel of the first movie, nearly every minute of this movie demonstrates that incredible intelligence, creativity, and a peculiar sense of romance went into the writing of this film- as with all of Smith's films.
Plus, seeing Randall and Dante become all they can and ought to be was unexpected and oddly uplifting.
