I found this article from the Guardian - Yahoo seems to love linking to the worst leftist news sites.  It is a truly horribly statement on what passes for cultural understanding these days:

Basically, he argues an altruist perspective that is perhaps truly what it means, in that death = life by this philosophy, and here it is acted out by the suicide bombers.

Kurt, I think the writer was trying to explain these suicide bombers, not endorse them.

Yes, I agree, and some of his points even have merit.  However, the overall tone very post-modern and even vague, as if it is trying to do both - explain why as well as excusing, while being careful not to endorse.  I would certainly welcome a more detailed analysis of it, if anyone thinks it is worthwhile.  I may have been hasty in judgement.
