I am seriously considering sending in a videotape.  It is simply too delicious not to.

I'm very glad to see the "smart businesswoman" side of Stewart being given exposure.  It's past time!

Jennifer you should do it!

Go for it! What an opportunity.

I'm definitely going to watch the show (even if you're not on it!). She's one of my favorites ever.

Jordan,

If you go to www.nbc.com there is a place to download the application and get more info.

You have to be 21, and either a US Citizen, or eligible to work in the US.

I've decided to go for it.  I'm pulling together the miracle video in a mere 5 days -- should be interesting.  I'm about to invade a few restaurant kitchens with a video camera, so it could get ugly.

I wonder if it will hurt me that my first published article is entitled "Move Over, Martha."  Heh.  :)

Are there any aspiring young filmmakers/editors on this board from NYC?  If I don't make the show, I can put the audition tape on the blog that is going up at www.youngandsuccessful.com to track the development of my new business venture.

If so, e-mail me at jennifer at gastronomicmeditations dot com.

Cordially,

The Media Whore

Erin,

I don't believe you need a video for a casting call.  You would have had to submit it by February 10th, in any case.

*************

I have decided not to audition for this, as there are things happening for me in so many other areas of the food world that this would distract me from the tasks at hand.  I also don't think it's the optimal way to gain the kind of exposure I want for my work.  Onward.  :)
