It's scratchy? I''ll have to check that -- no reason that they should be, or need to be.

Excellent, Peter.

And, the quality's not scratchy, it just lacks dynamic range due to a very low bitrate. But if the compression was any lower the file size would be huge.

If you're using Winamp or any other software with an equaliser to play the files just drop the bottom end & boost the treble. It'll sound much more lively :-)

Yes, excellent work PC!

Sorry, I used the wrong adjective. The track skips a couple of times in both recordings.

I seem to recall that Don R from the Liberty Loop has all of Lindsay's greatest hits - including some of the Radio Liberty stuff... Maybe you could get him to send you some recordings for uploading?

Yes, I originally saved them at a bitrate of 128 whatevers, but the files each ended up about 50 MB. Rest assured pristine copies are available, and they may eventually be available at the SOLO Merchandise page. :-)

Capital idea! Low quality teasers and high quality merchandise...

PS - To those of you who sanctioned me: Please sanction Peter and Linz. It is their work (blog, documentary, upload etc.), I just drew attention to it.

If it doesn't sound "lively" it ain't authentic. :-)

Mmm, who would have thought a little bit of tweaking could have improved Lindsay's timbre?

Tweaking was always good for my log, Ross. Dunno about my timber.

Mmm...

...certainly, the t-shirt is apropos this thread and the smoke & vino are true to the character of a hooligan.

It's always reminded me somewhat of George Michael during his Brando period...
