| | That was fun! I like his animated method of lecture presentation.
I've heard some other people make radical observations on education and it is about time. Government schools were one of the few big mistakes Jefferson made. Government involvement has stultified education for a long, long time and so weakened the academic body as to allow it to fall prey to a variety of parasites: teachers' unions, tenured hacks, pseudo-scientists, incompetent administrators, Fabian socialists, political misfits, and just plain idiots at large. It's awful that this perversion of a honorable need redistributes our money to those horrible people, who make it miserable for the good teachers and good administrators, corrupt the culture instead of passing it on to the next generation, while turning our kids into intellectual cripples instead of helping them become the knowledgeable, thinking young adults they could have been.
