I wonder what kind of release this is going to have?

She is like the steady drip of "I warned you...I warned you...I warned you..." that ends up making her look more like a reluctant prophet every day.

I don't think her intention back then was to be right about predicting an actual train wreck; I think her intention was to wave us off, as loudly as she could.

Unfortunately, she was right.

She could have been both, but the nation wasn't quite up to it.

Still isn't.

Oh well. It is going to take America as long as it takes, because this isn't going to get any better in the direction is is lurching.

I rented this(a different documentary from earlier this year)last night and watched in on Tivo(after watching the Phillies bats literally collapse).

http://www.amazon.com/Ayn-Rand-Her-Own-Words/dp/B004KDYQY4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1318091251&sr=8-1

It is basically excerpts from the Mike Wallace, Tom Snyder, and Donahue TV interviews, with her voice over presented over some photos, but it is very well done, not a hatchet job.

It is also worth it to hear her quote at the end of documentary/end of her life, celebrating her certainty that this is a 'benevolent Universe' and that any difficulties or hardships in her life were little price to pay for such an experience as hers had been.

She's asked a question about her frequent use of the phrases "Thank God" and even "God bless you." She readily admits that though she may not be referring to an actual God, she recognizes and embraces the intent of the commonly used phrase: thank the best that there is.

There is also a great and fitting quote from her at the beginning of the credits at the end of documentary, alone worth watching the documentary for.
