That's awful.

It is like the Saudi religious police that made little girls go back into a burning school because they didn't have their hijabs on - they died. Or like that father who killed his own daughters, here in the United States, as an "honor killing," because they allowed themselves to be seen dating someone who was not a Muslim.

Tear away any semblance of a rational philosophy and the most primitive, tribal brutality is there... here... certainly not off in a distant past.

Ed, didn't you love what our Embassy's official statement was? Everyone else is calling for justice, for an arrest of the perpetrators. "The U.S. Embassy in the national capital Port Moresby issued a statement calling for a sustained international partnership to enhance anti-gender-based violence laws throughout the Pacific." Clearly the selection process ensuring politically correct State Department people is so deeply entrenched that it extends quite literally to the ends of the earth.

Yeah, kind of like the UN statements. If you've ever made the UN mad, then you have felt their terrible wrath: they write a nasty 'executive summary' letter about you. Oooooh, a nasty letter! Watch out, if you throw acid in the face of humans (usually Muslim women who have been perceived as sinful), humans that you don't agree with, then the UN will write a nasty letter about you. Now it's the US chiming-in in that same sick, twisted, post-modern, multi-cultural choir. The US is becoming more and more like the UN. Icky-poo.
