I'd love to see Canadian provinces and Mexican states apply for admission to the US individually, or in bulk. Of course, Canada and Mexico have too many states, they should be fused and admitted as perhaps five states for each rather than 10+ for Canada and 31+ for Mexico. And there's also Greenland, the Carribean (the 4 states of Cuba, Hispaniola, reater Puerto Rico, and the Antilles) Central America, Samoa and Guam. Ideally, we'd be left with three nations. The greater USA, Ontario and Quebec! (Upstate New York and New England could always secede and join Ontario & Quebec to form the Socialist Confederation of Laurentia.) States would each get just one Senator, and small states would be proportioned into conglomerate house districts. Or we could simply cut all the Red states in half and Texas in five parts to balance out the Senate. (Even Brtitain could Join if it expels its resident aliens and Australia and New Zealand too, if they exile their socialists first.) But I like the idea of a smaller body. Only four prerequisites, an amendment barring the regulation of interstate commerce, an amendment barring federal disbursement of funds in the form of grants or entitlements to states and individuals, a line-item veto, and a balanced budget amendment with a flat cap of no more than 7% of the GDP. Heaven in the Western Hemisphere!
