It is sad that I've not written an article or done much at all except enjoy the work you guys do. But I did send away my form to join the Libaterianz today. 'Its a process' this is the buzz saying around my art school, and becoming a objectist contributing positively Libertarian is a slow process. I AM having arguments with my flatmates though, we have reached a stalemate, he believes we must have some social conscious. When I tell him its the principle of being forced to help, and what happens if the majority vote for a dictator, he says he will just have to accept it, but it will never happen anyway. I have got him interested in reading Atlas Shrugged.

When I was young my teacher told me to stop beginning every sentence with 'I'. I don't know another way.

I didn't know I could. As an aspiring writer and budding objectivist I'd be keen to put a few words together for a possible article - how do I go about submitting something?

Just mail it in to Admin@SoloHQ.com. We want as many people to submit articles as possible so that this can be an active hub of activity, not just another site where a few people bestow their wisdom unto the world.

Well, I was kicking around the idea of looking at privacy from an Objectivist perspective, but I'd be lucky to scratch the surface in an article of the appropriate length. So, instead, I'm taking some time to look at the people I respect and decide whom I'd consider a hero. I'm stuck between Ken Thompson, who invented Unix, and Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, who invented the C programming language.

That, and between work, a rapproachement with my girlfriend, a spare-time programming project, and work on a novel -- I'm busy.

You don't have to try to tackle the whole subject at once. Instead, you can point out different principles involved. Each article could make a single point.

Hmmm... You're right. Maybe I'll start with the principle of "Your free press ends where my privacy begins".

Currently, I am trying to submit an article on Unity vs. Independence. I think that it still needs to be revised, but once it is edited, I think that it would make a great article.

If anyone wants a copy of the draft, please feel free to ask. Suggestions and comments are also welcomed.
