Benjamin Franklin's Birthday is on the 17th of January. I think his life achievements would be a bit more worth celebrating than just that particular court decision.

But the poll question itself is compound. (And hence, perhaps, leading.) So in answer to the second clause, anything is a good excuse to bring up Rand.

In 1978 I was in 10th grade history class this was my first exposure to Roe vs Wade. being a male I cannot  experience the wonder of having a baby. As a rational human being I really do not have the final say on what another person does with there body. I also know that sex is a natural act and in nature there is no such thing as an accident. I was taught that if I was committed to sticking it in, I was committed to sticking it out. Abortions are expensive and can be prevented with proper care. I see the potential for a lot of capricious situations if proper guidance isn`t executed at a proper age to both sexes. the bottom line is it depends on the responsibility of the individuals involved and there level of self discipline. If people had a quality sense of life why are they in that position anyway? Personally I would not want to know about it because I believe it is an "anathema" to the positive effort involved. The following is a synopsis of what I explained to my eldest daughter when she was coming of age and setting her lifestyles pace. Sex the primary purpose of sex is to have children. The pleasure we experience is the natural motivator to make it happen. Lower life forms on the other hand have breeding seasons where the urge overcomes all else. Humans have separated the purpose from the pleasure with mixed results. It ithuman nature to find ways around such obstacles thats why contraceptives were invented. This doesn`t always defeat natures tenacity. Less than desirable consequences will result if the desire for pleasure overrules the awareness of responsibility. Thank you for listening. I say throw a party let the ladies have all the cordials they care to consume make sure they all have designated drivers and be a gentleman and suggest that they wear  their seatbelts after the soiree

I scanned your past posts and I will say that your grammar and punctuation have improved since your first post here.  However, you still have work to do to get your grammar and punctuation into the standard form that allows for the "clear thinking" you seek in others.  Any standard text on the subject from Amazon ought to do the trick.  The Ayn Rand Bookstore also sells a text called Writing and Thinking that has high ratings from Objectivist intellectual Leonard Peikoff.
