| | Out of curiosity -- how does an Objectivist wind up married to a racist? Or was the Objectivism a later development, if not an outright reaction to that experience?
Well, that part of the personality wasn't glaring at me until a few years later. And it was different than my father's, so I didn't really recognize it when it was probably there the whole time. I just didn't see it. Objectivism became a much much bigger part of my life just before, and right after we divorced, but I discovered Ayn Rand in the early 80's.
