| | What's real disturbing about this quote is that it's associated with a talk that Obama had with republican members of Congress. A member of Congress, I believe it was Representative Eric Cantor (R-VA), was on Rush Limbaugh talking about how Obama shot down his proposals for a rational stimulus plan. Apparently, Obama told Cantor that he differed in: philosophy and he interrupted Cantor's presentation/argumentation and told him:
I'm going to trump you Now, on the chance that this really happened, for a guy who claims that philosophy/ideology is bad -- and that we need more idealism and practicality (I know, I know how this sounds!) -- for a guy who claims that folks are hung up on philosophy/ideology, he's really just covering up for his own agenda; for his own philosophy/ideology.
One of the things I've heard said is that Obama has a "Make Work Pay" agenda. Now that's Marxism, plain and simple, but I'm sure he wouldn't appreciate us so truthfully calling it what it is.
