The quote from the article isn't very catchy, but Krauthammer does an excellent job of laying bare Obama's direction. Seeing that Obama treats the crisis as his Trojan horse for going socialist is made clear. But it leaves an important question, "Does Obama really understand the dangers of this economic crisis?" We know he is energetically using the 'opportunity' to shoe-horn 8 years worth of far left wet-dreams into a 4 month legislative period, but does he understand that the crisis is real - that it may become a depression?
Maybe he thinks it is just part of a cycle and will get better on its own and the best thing is to use it quickly to implement his community organizer view of the world.
Maybe he is worried that it won't last long enough so he is purposely scaring the markets it to keep them down long enough to get his job done.
Maybe he wants a depression because he thinks that level of a crisis is needed to be able to properly reorganize our political structure and redistribute what's left of the wealth.
We don't know, because, like the entire campaign, he hides his real motives, and because, he is deeply deceptive- like that speech.
