| | Goldbergs comments are reasonably on. Palin is hated though it seems she is hated for reasons that are none too clear. Here's my list:
1. She is a Christian. That's an easy one.
2. She appears to be an idiot. Maybe she's not, but she does a damn good job playing one.
3. She has done nothing notable.
4. She whips your average American into a frenzy of irrational fear/zeal. I suppose this is notable, however since Glen Beck and Jesse Jackson can do this (even if on different scales or to different groups) I'm not sure it's worth anything.
5. She is a Christian.
I know everyone is screaming about her book, but I don't see the big deal. So a another goofy politician wrote a book about their lame-ass life.

Indeed, some of us will always be sympathetic to Mrs. Palin if for nothing else than her enemies. The bile she extracts from her critics is almost like a dye marker, illuminating deep pockets of asininity that heretofore were either unnoticed or underappreciated.
