I'm no fan of humility and certainly don't see it as a virtue, and I also don't see it as something Obama has to worry about. I mean he isn't a person I'd point to and say there is a humble man. And I can't imagine him being inspired by seeing humility in another. ---------
He says, "...we're sinful and we're flawed and we make mistakes..."
I could just say, 'speak for yourself,' but think about it, has anyone ever seen this man fess up to even a tiny sinful, flawed, or mistaken moment? His claim to be in tune with the idea of man as flawed doesn't ring true to me... Well, except that he does seem to be a man who sees himself as an elite who will rule over the rest of flawed creatures. ---------
He said, "...we achieve salvation through the grace of God."
He was careful here to not explicitly bring up the Black Liberation Theology's belief that salvation will only come when it is collective - although he did say "we."
