| | I am just finishing the Civil War chapter cited. It really is a good book. It gives a long overdue slap at Howard Zinn and his ilk though it also gives comeuppance to the neo-Confederate revisionists as well. Its main downside involves its adherence to Christianity as the common basis for the American founding. This is not enough to ruin the book but will definitely make me bust it down from five stars to four on Amazon when I review it.
