The acted-on belief in the "rights" to these things is what it is that caused the current need for austerity in the first place!

This is like a doctor helping a patient to lose weight while an onlooking idiot harps on about how the right to caloric indulgence should not be compromised by the implementation of a weight-reducing diet.
