Someone should tell this guy that it might just be this attitude that makes people not want to hire him.

I take a hard line when it comes to rioting or looting which aren't the same as demonstrating. They clearly aren't covered by freedom of speech, freedom of assembly or any individual rights since it involves destruction of other peoples' property and initiation of violence.

If I were the governor, or mayor of city being subjected to rioting or looting, I'd hold a press conference and announce that the police will shoot anyone that is damaging property or initiating violence against the police.

From an msnbc reporter in the UK: "Every store had been looted except for one: the book store."

Dean,

That's partly the reason why I leave my books in my vehicle completely exposed. The person who is foolish enough to steal will often fail to recognize the value of knowledge and, thus, won't find my books worth the effort, and the person who does recognize such value will refrain from stealing anyway due to either his awareness of the law or higher moral convictions.

Dean, do you have a link for that? I did find this, at HuffPo:
What The UK Riots Mean For Bookstores

"British bookstores seemed largely unaffected by the rioting that took place last night across the UK, according to a report on The Bookseller website. High-street chains such as Waterstone's and WH Smith, as well as smaller independent bookstores, were reportedly spared during the violence, which mostly targeted electronics and high-street fashion stores."

Although, while trying to find it, via Google, I did come across this:
Forbidden Planet In Manchester Attacked By Rioters

"The Manchester branch of the comic store chain Forbidden Planet is currently being attacked by rioting youth in Manchester’s city centre."

That's a great video. Pat Condell is a bit shy, but he finally manages to get a few words out.

He is such fun to watch. Thanks Brandon.
