Did I do something wrong (this video isn't showing up)?

The link to the video (which I "copy & pasted") is:

Ed,

Good job. Except I think a more persuasive argument for freedom can be made by using modern economies and the individuals place in them rather than survival or non-survival of primitives. The success of a modern economy depends on the participation of the majority of individuals in these economies. Lack of property rights in economies has demonstrated that both the individuals being taken from and the individuals being given to are demotivated from participation in the economy. I think a 1% increase in the productive participation of individuals in the economy has a far, far greater effect than the existence or non-existence of a Bill Gates for example.

Sorry this had to be so quick. Gotta run.

Mike,

Thank you so much for the constructive criticism.

I do see a superiority in your line of reasoning -- as opposed to mine. But I also see a defect in your line of reasoning which could be exploited by a cunning Marxist: a pre-existence of wealth (see my latest comment for more on this).

Pass the popcorn...

"Prove to me that their is an innate nature to humanity that necessitates freedom on a basis more than utility and your rhetoric will be taken seriously."

"The innate nature to humanity which necessitates freedom stems from it being an Evolutionary Stable Strategy--unfree, we'd all be dead. Because humans, lacking claw or fang, couldn't survive in jungles without the individual freedom to act on their own mind's best judgment. It's not utility, it's life or death. "

What an awesome comeback.
