30+ years of corruption from Hiz Honor, Mayor Coleman A. Young, is how. This isn't new, Kwame just got caught. The ignorance coming out of Detroit's City Council is breathtaking. This is what Detroit voters wanted, so this is what they got.
City Council chased away the only decent mayor Detroit had in over 50 years after a single term. He was just "too white" for their tastes. The mess was so bad, Dennis Archer wouldn't run for a second term. Can't say that I blame the guy.
