The powers that be have yet to convince the general population that anonymous and encrypted communication should be outlawed. Until such is the case, maybe we can improve our personal security and reduce our losses to theft etc by reducing the amount of information we give to potential enemies. For example, information about what you want to buy and sell etc can be used by thieves to discover you have wealth/resources which can be stolen, or figure out where you live and all the things you do... "Know your enemy" -> "Don't let your enemies know you." I'm making this post as the start of a new thread to discuss and review strategies and technology that enables friends to communicate and gather information in a more secure/private manner.
