5k and broken window

5k and broken window
News from the life of Dean Michael Gores on August 14th, 2008:

I ran the 2008 CIGNA Elliot Corporate Road Race (5k) in 22 minutes 20 seconds. Which is a healthy speed but not anything extraordinary. I beat the other 9 participants from the company I work for.

My car was broken into for the second time in a year a few hours after I got home from the race. It was for the same reason as last time. I left a TomTom GPS visible (mistakenly), which was stolen along with my driver side window being destroyed. Glass was shattered throughout my car and on my seats (which makes it difficult to drive to the car wash to vacuum), and as an extra bonus this time they left the rock used on my passenger floor. The rock put a good cut in my center console fabric and broke through the plastic cover of my passenger door speaker.

I also paid $15 for a parking spot near the start of the race. My friend parked around the corner for $2.

So I'm currently a mix of a runner's high and rage. I actually heard the person break my window this time. Boom, boom, and then I looked out the window and saw that my hazards were blinking. My hazard button is big and easy to press when removing the GPS from the windshield. I didn't see the person who did it.
