| This letter was forwarded to me by a friend. It typifies the growing resentment of stable, productive, free minded people who are now terrified for their well being under the Obama Administration. Tony has never read Atlas Shrugged, but plans to. He has no idea what an "Objectivist" is, so I'm giving him a spot light in an Objectivist forum, because he qualifies to be here despite any errors he may have picked up from the Conservative Religious Right. All of this will sound very familiar, but it still resonates. Tony's just a regular guy. A regular small businessman like so many other small businessmen. I am suggesting the premise: Obama wants to redistribute as much wealth as possible and destroy, *YES I SAID DESTROY* what he can not redistribute. As I observe the current wealth decline we are experiencing, and the actions being taken by our government I can’t help but wonder what motivations must exist inside Mr. Obama’s mind. As the stock market declines over 3000 points since it became obvious McCain would likely not win it becomes clearer the market has no confidence in Obama. This causes me to ask why Obama doesn’t do something to offer some confidence. What could he do? Well with no cost he could in an instant create a 1000 point jump in the market by announcing he would lower the corporate tax from the second highest in the world 30% we now pay. Next Mr. Obama could announce that he will not raise capital gains taxes. Mr. Obama claims gyrations in the stock market are akin to daily tracking polls. Fair enough, however this 3000 point crash is not gyration. What logic could exist to support Obama’s lack of interest in economic prosperity? But the question remains: is Mr. Obama rising in popularity because the market is falling and people perceive he can save us? These items may be excusable on their own; however the sum is very disturbing.
