This informative book explains, from a secular perspective, the growing influence of the Religious Right in American politics.
Contributing authors show little kindness to the ideas of fundamentalist Christians and articulate why such ideas merit no kindness. The mixed reviews on Amazon offer concrete examples of the ideological divide the United States currently faces. Unfortunately, this book also contains material to which Objectivists will object, such as the various authors' support of government education and so forth. Despite these flaws, this book warrants at least a speed read for those who want better to grasp the role of religion in America today.
