The Constitutional Thought of Thomas Jefferson
Jefferson's theory and practice have often been seen as inconsistent or contradictory. Mayer attempts to show that much of Jefferson's views and actions are consistent with a contextual view of the Constitution. The contextual view, as explained in this book, provides an interesting way of understanding the purpose and structure of the Constitution.
