| "The Curley Effect". Having spent the entirety of my adult life living in California this has a startling ring of familiarity. The "special interests" in California spend huge amounts of money on political ads. The alternative voices are effectively drowned out which explains why a useless piece of shit like George Miller gets 80-90's of the vote in district 7 where I live. The cynicism related to politics here is very high. People are either out to grab some loot or so disgusted they don't even think about it or participate. | ||
