Ayn Rand on World War II
Posted by William Dwyer on 9/11, 6:53pm
Are the foreign policy views of the Ayn Rand Institute inconsistent with those of Ayn Rand? In this article, the author points out that ARI compares America’s entry into World War II with invading the Middle East, and looks to FDR’s generals during that war for inspiration in conducting war in Iraq and other countries, principally Iran. These views are reflected in the article by Dr. Lewis that I posted entitled "'No Substitute for Victory' The Defeat of Islamic Totalitarianism." In contrast to the views of Dr. Lewis, the author quotes a number of statements by Rand herself which reflects her opposition to our involvement in the Second World War.
